Melisa's Bears...

...is pleased to introduce a Realistic Grizzly Bear Cub

"Sasta"

~ ADOPTED ~

I'm super excited to introduce my newest creation.... Sasta! I've given him this name as it is the Kaska Dena word for a boy bear. I am so happy with how he turned out he is so sweet I think he is even better in person! To see larger photos of Sasta, right click his photos and choose "view image".

Sasta is a one of a kind artist grizzly bear cub completely designed and hand sewn (no machine sewing) by me, Melisa Nichols. He is very detailed and as such he is his own unique individual and can not be duplicated ~ a true one of a kind. Many, many hours of love and effort went into this creation!

Because of all this detailed work, I will never be able to create another grizzly bear cub just like Sasta. I do not work with patterns - just from photos and drawings, so there is no pattern he can be remade from.

Sasta is a large bear when he is standing on all fours, he is 18 long. I've taken lots of photos of him and I hope you enjoy seeing them all!

~~~ ~~~
Sasta is made from a very soft & fluffy synthetic fur.
Sasta's adorable face is full of detail and took me so many hours to create! His face has been thread sculpted, scissor sculpted and hand shaded. He has soulful black glass eyes with wired eyelids that can be posed open or completely closed, or anywhere in between.
Sasta has an epoxy clay nose that I hand sculpted, painted and sealed.
Sasta's paws were also extremely time consuming. I scissor sculpted them and sewed on trapunto paw pads each leather pad individually done. His paws are also thread sculpted and hand shaded. I individually hand sculpted and carved epoxy clay claws for him which have been painted and sealed.
Sasta is completely hand sewn and filled with polyfil, pellets (in his tummy), and an extra portion of cuddles. He is fully armatured (including his tail) for lots of fun poses!
If you have any questions or comments about Sasta, please email me ... I'd love to hear from you! If you'd like to be on my mailing list, please let me know I send out an email whenever I have a new creation ready for adoption.
I hope you've enjoyed seeing Sasta's photos!
*******************************
Sasta will arrive with hang tags that include his birth date, a picture of him and a signed Certificate of Authenticity. He is a collectable baby bear cub made for display only - not suitable for children due to small parts. Any props I may use in the photos are not included in the auction unless otherwise stated.
All my soft sculptures are created in a smoke-free home and all my recycled fur sculptures are fully lined.
***SHIPPING*** ~ I am delighted to offer Sasta with free surface shipping anywhere in the world.
